Synopsis
Introduces a range of procedures and develops MATLAB functions to
practically implement them. The reader is encouraged to use these
functions to produce results in numerical or graphic form.
Comment
Although written a few years ago now, at the time of MATLAB-4, I still
find this a useful introduction and reference for a variety of basic
numerical methods. Equivalents of some of the more than 100 functions
described in this book now appear in MATLAB
itself, or in various MATLAB
Toolboxes. However, I find I often dip in here for some fundamental
understanding, or for some basic code that will maybe run faster,
especially in Simulink simulation, than something with all the bells and
whistles included.
